Asimov's Fundementals on Genetics

This being my first book by Isaac Asimov, I have become more knowledgeable about Genetics in 180 pages of scientific study. Isaac Asimov introduces reader to the basis of Genetics by first introducing the replication of cells. He then goes on to chemistry; we get to know elements and equations that create molecules. As we get to know these elements, we learn about the purposes of proteins and what their chemical compositions are. Understanding about proteins and elements, he goes farther into the idea of proteins, which requires the understanding of the "brain" of the cell and DNA. This book would certainly fill the want for a good understanding of genetics. Near the end of the book he forecasts what will come of the study of genetics in 2004. Not being an expert, he has predicted many events that have seem correct, but to those who study in the field, this may be different.

Finally, several sessions are dedicated to increasing compliance and problem-solving.

About the Author

John D. Brewer is Professor of Post Conflict Studies in the Institute for the Study of Conflict Transformation and Social Justice at Queen's University, Belfast. He was previously Sixth-Century Professor of Sociology at Aberdeen University. He has held visiting appointments at Yale University, St John's College, Oxford, Corpus Christi College Cambridge and the Research School of Social Sciences at the Australian National University. He was, until 2012, President of the British Sociological Association and a member of the Governing Council of the Irish Research Council for Humanities and Social Science.

Good Coverage of Non-structural Composites

Books 1 and 2 provide good photo-coverage of composite introduction and fabrication. Step-by-step details are clearly depicted from the making of simple parts to production tooling. All are done in non-technical, easy-to-understand fashion.

Be aware though, as stated on the covers, these books are in the "garage series" and are geared towards hands-on fabrication (as opposed to design). The emphasis is towards cosmetic rather than high-efficiency structural applications.

So if your interests are towards building hood scoops, cycle fenders, etc, you will find these books highly informative.

If your interest are towards aerospace or racecar structural composites where high-strength and light-weight are paramount, look elsewhere. Also, if you are looking for information on technical design of composites, look elsewhere.

Composite Materials: Fabrication Handbook #2 - must buy for DIY enthusiasts

I bought this item with Composite Materials: Fabrication Handbook #1. Both are well written in a logical fashion and there are a lot of full-coloured pictures which really help with the understanding of the topic. The book is written so that someone with no knowledge of composite materials can easily understand and get into their first project with some level of confidence.

My only complaint is that the text and corresponding pictures are at times not placed near to each other, so there is a good bit of page turning when one wants to get a visual to the text being read. Other than that, this book is a must have for the DIY enthusiast who would like to start working with composite materials.

I am looking forward to starting my first composite materials project within the next few weeks.

Don't hesitate to buy this book. It is needed, along with #1, to get a through enough understanding to get started on your own. Once you have these 2 books they are all you need to get started making parts in your garage. Great Buy!

This is an AWESOME book!

I was skeptical when I first read the reviews for this book. It is a very fine line you have to walk when writing about topics like dubious consent, and making someone your love slave. But I am telling you, this author handled it beautifully! There is real emotion in each character, while the vampire can be a complete ass, I think it kind of makes him more endearing in the end. This story from start to finish is interesting, entertaining, hot, and will make you laugh. I enjoyed the characters introduction, the layout of setting and the entire process of breaking the curse was executed flawlessly. I am definitely a new ga of Renee Rose and if you read this book, you will be too!

A beautiful blond vampire needs help from a sweet fairy girl.

I loved this story. It has a beautiful blond male vampire and a sweet fairy girl. The characters are strongly written and brilliantly described. There is plenty of spankings ans spicy sex. The scenes are well described and the feelings are real and true. Even though the story line is fanciful the feelings and emotions are alive.

His Captive Mortal is an amazing, hot sexual experience. The absolute dominance that Charlie has over Sasha is compelling, yet any dominance inclined couple will tell you that the true power lies within the submissive’s hands… Sasha will learn that soon enough, and once she does she will open her heart to Charlie in ways he never imagined possible for him.

The basic story is given to you in the story description. I can tell you that the humor in Sasha’s and Charlie’s experiences falls upon you unexpectedly within this story, and without meaning to… you’ll laugh or chuckle. At first Sasha truly doesn’t understand why Charlie’s punishments turn her on, and she will fight to ignore the sexual enjoyment she is beginning to experience. Slowly Sasha and the reader will come to understand how Charlie captivates and what drives him to the extremes that he sets for Sasha and himself. As they work to find a cure for the curse, Sasha’s magic will grow beyond what either believed possible. Life is changing for this little fairy… and for the sexy vampire as well.

While the sensuous, hotness of this novel was to be expected – I was also touched by the emotions that slowly trickled through the story until the feelings between these two were almost as compelling as their sexual moments.

The content of His Captive Mortal is definitely erotica at a level that no reader under 18 should be reading – it is a story that draws the reader in and doesn’t let go until the final page. There are degrees of erotica. This story involves a lot of spanking, punishments and dominance. I read this story knowing exactly what I was picking up, I hope that you understand that as well. This story proves that one sexy fairy and one hot vampire can manage to burn up the sheets, set flame to the floor and rock the house – and be ready for more.

It explores the key ways in which the ideal body is currently achieved, via muscularising practices, slimming regimes and cosmetic procedures. Coffey investigates the concept of ‘health’ and how it is inextricably linked both to the bodily performance of gender ideals and an increased public emphasis on individual management and responsibility in the pursuit of a ‘healthy’ body.
