Exactly the book I need at exactly the time I need it!
By Anita Lanier
Getting my acupuncture practice started in Southern Nevada, far where I attended acupuncture school, has been challenging, rewarding, and overwhelming at times. This book makes me feel like I have mentors coaching me on the business of managing my practice and setting up for insurance - the latter a truly daunting task. Playing the Game is not just about insurance, but includes good information about charting, HIPAA, fee schedules, NPI and so on. This book, along with Making Acupuncture Pay, should be REQUIRED reading in Practice Management classes at acupuncture schools in the U.S. - at $29.95 it is reasonably priced, and published just two years ago, it is current enough to still be useful. I also appreciate that the authors have a website set up http://acu-insurance.com/ to keep information current.
