He is most widely known as Founding Pastor of The Church On The Way, where he was senior pastor from 1969-1999. He served as President of the Foursquare Church from 2004-2009. On Grief and Grace

When I lost my baby in the 1980's no one was talking about the grief of this kind of loss. People said the most uncaring insensitive things - I'd have another one, God needed another angel, and all sorts of ridiculous things. This book has sound theology, and explains what BIBLICAL teachings are about the soul of a baby. Further, it explores a concept many Christians seem to misunderstand - GRACE. In addition to miscarriages and still births, this book addresses abortion. Parents who have lost a baby to an abortion deal with the loss, and the guilt of their decision as well. This is a wonderful book about both the grief and the grace of God and His love for all of us. Most of all, it gives parents who have suffered the loss of a baby hope that they will, indeed, hold their child in heaven.

The healing words that are found in this book meant the world to me. Having lost 2 babies to miscarriage I was blessed to find hope through this book. I highly recommend it if you find yourself dealing with the loss of a little one.
