About the Author
Dr Robert Lomas has worked on cruise-missile guidance systems and Fire Brigade command-and-control systems and was involved in the early develop-ment of personal computers. He currently is a Visiting Fellow in Operations Management at Bradford University School of Management. He is author, or co-author, of best-selling books on Freemasonry and Science, including The Hiram Key, Turning the Hiram Key, Freemasonry and the Birth of Modern Science, The Man Who Invented the Twentieth Century and The Lewis Guide to Masonic Symbols.

If you comprehend these things you know enough

This book is an excellent follow up to the Meaning of Masonry, by W. L. Wilmshurst. It is a very deep an esoteric reading, not recommended for somebody who is just starting up in the Craft. But those with a more advanced knowledge and desire to understand what the Craft is and stands for, this book will provide a wealth of information.

An insight into the true meaining of the initiatory process

My congratulations to Brother Lomas. I read with pleasure this book from cover-to-cover in one sitting. Just excellent. While yes, Manly Hall wrote a book on Masonry, it was years before he was initiated---and it shows. While Harvey Lewis of Rosicrucian fame wrote books on Initiation he too was never a Master Mason. This is the first book written in a long time that describes what is really going on in the initiatory process. It applies to other systems as well as Masonry. He who finds this work boring really must not realize the insight into a sublime system that is revealed here. I'm now going through this little book and picking out some gems I can share with my brothers who are increasingly hungry for them.. I consider this a must for any thoughtful, reflective member of the Craft. I'm proud to have it on my shelf! Dr. Paul A. Just What I've Been Looking For

Just finished reading the book and I am amazed at the content. Although it is essentially a short book, the covering of the Tracing Boards of the Blue Lodge system, and more are covered extremely well. After reading Freemasonry - Its Hidden Meaning, and gathering the knowledge out of there on top of the esoteric teachings in this text, I am left soaking in a lot of light. There's so much of a break down on the true symbolism veiled in Masonry that I am sure I'll be picking it back up again. I would highly recommend this book to a brother who has gone through the Degrees & isn't satisfied with the standard lecture that is taught. To the brother who feels there is a whole lot more out there regarding the craft that is taught.
